As an experienced teaching professional, I believe that demonstrating energetic, approachable and creative teaching in a supportive and nurturing environment brings out the very best of children. For me, this approach has continued to enable my pupils to have a growth mind-set and try a variety of techniques and tools to help make conscious learning choices that they can transfer across disciplines. It also gives demonstrable results. As class teacher and Faculty Leader I have raised achievements in English, Maths and Art and have embedded and sustained best practice in my roles. I offera substantial bank of skills, knowledge and personal attributes, together with extensive experience of working with children that haveEAL and SEN. I am an ambitious teacher providing differentiated innovative activities and enjoyment in a varied learning environment, to ensure each pupil achieves their full potential and their young minds are inspired during their learning journey.Whilst the teaching environment is undoubtedly one that teaches educators as much as it does pupils, I am motivated and willing to ensure I continually learn new skills to support the school in every possible way.

Jan 2016 – Present. Year 1 Class Teacher, Art Faculty Leader, Middle Leader Whitefriars School London  Planning and teaching according to the national curriculum. 30 children in the class majority are bilingual, have English as an additional language and 20% have special educational needs (Autism, Global Development, ADHD, Speech and Language).  Establishing a stimulating learning environment through innovative teaching methods.  Working with Maths Leader on new initiatives to develop progression e.g. Singapore Bar Model.  As Art Faculty Leader, developing experiences and enriching opportunities for all children and creating links with sponsors.
